Good day, my name is Megan. I am 15 years old and have a strong interest in drawing. I began drawing when I was around 9 years old. When I first began, my friends and I were designing clothes for fun. I soon grew out of it and began to draw objects and people at the age of 10. My art teacher, Mrs. Tyo has inspired me to continue drawing and has helped me regain my confidence every time I say I'm going to give up on drawing completely due to a project not turning out the way I had wanted. She had taught me to never give up and to always believe in my artistic abilities. My mother and Mrs. Tyo both helped me to overcome my artistic doubt, and for that I am grateful. With their guidance, I have improved my techniques tremendously and strive to be even better. Although I have a knack for drawing and painting, I am also good at other things.
Currently, I am in 9th grade and am working on graduating early. This means that next year, I will be having my 10th/11th grade year. Along with graduating early, I hope to progress in my skating, Up to this point in my skating career, I have reached Freeskate 4-5, become an Assistant Coach, won various awards, earned various medals with the 3 Synchronized Skating Teams I have had the privilege of being on, passed all of my Pre-Bronze Dances, passed my Preliminary MIF, and have passed my Pre-Preliminary Freestyle. When I graduate from school, I hope to graduate with a scholarship to either Clarkson University or St. Lawrence University. In order to get one of these scholarships, I must stay on the High Honor Roll all through High school. This shouldn't be too difficult seeing as how I've always been on it.
I hope by reading this, you've gotten a sense of who the artist is.
Thanks for reading!
Megan
